How much deposit can a landlord charge in Saskatchewan?
No more than one month's rent, and it can often be paid in instalments rather than all upfront. It must be returned within 7 business days of move-out if the landlord has no claim, or with a statement of any deductions.

Deductions are only allowed for unpaid rent or utilities and damage beyond normal wear and tear. Disputes go to the Office of Residential Tenancies (ORT).
