Eviction
How much notice does a landlord have to give to evict in New York?
For non-payment, a 14-day demand for rent. To end a month-to-month tenancy or not renew, 30 days' notice (tenancy under a year), 60 days (1–2 years), or 90 days (2+ years) under the HSTPA. A notice is only the first step — the landlord must still win a court case to evict.
