Can my landlord enter without notice in Alberta?
No. In Alberta a landlord must give at least 24 hours' written notice before entering, and entry must be during daytime hours (generally 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.). The exceptions are a genuine emergency or your consent at the time.

The notice must state why the landlord is entering. After-hours entry isn't allowed without an emergency or your agreement.
If a landlord enters repeatedly without proper notice, keep a dated log — it can support a complaint about interference with your right to peaceful enjoyment.
